FlexWhere protects privacy during hot desking

More and more personal data is being exchanged over the internet. Many people do not like that and we totally understand that. That is why we developed FlexWhere with privacy as a starting point. Our flexible working system complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our internet provider applies the highest security requirements and we do not store data that can be traced back to individuals. This is called privacy-by-design.

During the design of our software, we immediately took the privacy of our users into account. That is why we were not worried about the arrival of the GDPR. This European privacy legislation, also known under the English term General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), imposes strict rules for the protection of privacy. FlexWhere complies with all these rules due to our unique approach.

App is safe and secure

Privacy-by-design starts with the app. Our app does not request permissions. This means that we do not collect location data, do not want to look at contacts or calendars, do not require access to the microphone or camera and we certainly do not want to send an SMS. The New Way of Working is beautiful, but must of course be done safely.

Unlike many other companies, we do not permanently store privacy-sensitive data. We link our software with the servers of the organisation. We therefore only work with personal data that is already in the computers of the customer. Another advantage: through this link FlexWhere always works with the most up-to-date information.

FlexWhere runs on secure servers in Germany.

FlexWhere runs on highly secure AWS servers in Germany. The data therefore does not leave the Europe Economic Area (EEA), as the AVG / GDPR also requires. The connections between our servers and the organisation are secured. The FlexWhere app and the web pages are always connected to the secure https. Want to know more about our security? Of course we also make backups. Statistical data is stored daily in an AWS European data centre . We also keep the privacy of our users in mind. We do not store any personal data, only anonymous statistics. Think of the occupancy rate of a floor or building. These statistical data cannot be traced back to a specific person.

Privacy issues play a role in every organisation. Can the app be used outside the building? Is it fine that colleagues know who is working where?

Monitoring and security of personal information is not only important between computers, it also concerns who can view the data. On request, our employees can get access to solve problems. This access is also secured. In addition, all our employees have signed a confidentiality agreement (NDA) and submitted a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).

There are privacy issues in every organisation. Can the app be used outside the building? Is it fine that colleagues know who is working where? What about phone numbers? Are special skills shown or not? FlexWhere offers options that allow every organisation to choose what is important.
